Manchester City vs Arsenal

Intriguing clash in EPL today between the teams of Manchester City and Arsenal.
The home team made a great start of the season with 3 wins in a row and still without conceding a goal.This made everybody talk about City as a real thread for the top 4 teams.But I think it's too early to consider City a title pretender.Yes, looking at the Summer sellection of Hughes the team looks really strong, but I think the blues from Manchester still lack some key things that may turn the team into 'Grand'.

In the first 3 games I noticed similar aproach from Hughes - he started with attacking formation, his team had the chance to score an early goal and then Citizens packed in back lines and used counter - attacks.Yes, it was successful, but I rate the opponents City met a bit poor - Blackburn and Pompey are in awful condition at the moment, while Wolves are still confused newcommers in the elite.Although all the 3 teams made number of chances in front of City net and only the luck and Given prevented the opponent scoring.I doubt this will work against stronger opponents, just as the one today.Citizens gained much confidence after the great start, but it may be tricky and result in disappoinntment today.

For the match today Tevez is out, while Robinho is doubtful.

Arsenal's dream start of the season was rudely interrupted in the last round when the Gunners lost from rivals United at Old Trafford 2:1.It was really controversal game, especially because the decisions of the Ref.But it's behind now and the team has to go on...to another opponent from Manchester.

I have to say the attack of the Gunners this season seems great - in 5 games in all competitions since the start of the new campaign the team scored 16 goals.It's really impressive and I think the defence of the Citizens may feel serious troubles today.

Unfortunately Wenger is without Arshavin today, while Fabregas returns to the squad.Walcott, Nasri, Djourou and Fabinaski all remain sidelined, while Rosicky is doubtful.

Citizens showed they can win games, but I haven't seen the needed stability and consistancy in the team.I think this will play them bad joke today against the 'hurt' Gunners, seeking revenge for the disappointing result against United.
