Birmingham will be determined to avoid a repeat of the last time they faced Aston Villa in the Midlands derby on Sunday.

St Andrews is sure to be rocking for the visit of Martin O'Neill's men, who seem to have the better of their local rivals at present.

Villa have won the last four derby clashes, including the 5-1 mauling of their fierce foes at Villa Park last time out. In all, the Villans have scored an impressive 11 goals in those four games and conceded just three.

However, the Blues will be expecting better this time around with manager Alex McLeish assembling a squad that looks more than capable of holding its own in the top flight.

Birmingham have made some astute signings over the summer and their secure if not spectacular start to the Premier League means confidence should be high in the Blues camp.

Meanwhile, Villa have recovered well following their surprising opening day home defeat to Wigan by beating Liverpool 3-1 at Anfield and Fulham 2-0 at Villa Park to take them up to eighth in the table.

Inter Milan

Parma

Date: September 13th
Time: 13:00 (GMT)

As far as Inter Milan vs Parma meetings go, Inter won both meetings between the clubs in the 2007/08 season, the last time Parma was competing in the Serie A. There is not much remaining of the 2007/08 Parma squad, although history does favour Inter Milan.

Of the last sixteen matches played between the clubs at the Giuseppi Meazza Stadium, Inter Milan have lost only once.

Parma have the potential to be this season’s Genoa. While it’s likely that the beginning of the season will see mixed results (occasionally fantastic, occasionally disgraceful), when they hit form, they will give even the biggest clubs a scare.

Christian Panucci is an excellent signing and will provide a leadership role in nursing the younger talents along, while Guidolin has given himself a good set of options without overly spending.

Still, Inter Milan are likely to dictate proceedings on Sunday.

Siena striker Emanuele Calaio scored twice in his last match against Cagliari, but has told Romagiallorossa.com that he will do well to replicate the feat on Sunday.

"It will be a good fight. Roma have lost their first two games, they aren't in good shape physically, but it could give them the shock to return to the position they deserve," he said.

The Giallorossi's coaching change will certainly give new impetus to the team according to the former Napoli hitman, and Siena will have to be at their best to get a result.

"With Claudio Ranieri they will have found new motivation, it will be a different and determined Roma. However, if we are to reach safety, we must exceed ourselves - they will not have an easy time."

The 27-year-old added that his aim for the season was to challenge the likes of Atalanta's Robert Acquafresca and Napoli's Fabio Quagliarella in the scoring charts, thereby helping his side to beat the drop.

"My objective is to contribute to Siena's safety by reaching double figures, emulating strikers like Acquafresca and Quagliarella."

Fulham will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they host Everton at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

After an unbeaten run of four games in Europe and the Premier League, the Cottagers have suffered something of a setback.

Losing their last three games, they have failed to score in defeats to Chelsea, Aston Villa and in the Uefa Cup against Amkar Perm.

Boss Roy Hodgson has been forced to make do with a depleted squad after suffering a worrying number of injury setbacks.

His side could be excused for defeat at Villa Park, in which they were without key players such as Danny Murphy, Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora after a tough European trip earlier in the week.

With two of those three now back to match fitness, no such excuses will stand against a Toffees side who have endured a mixed start to their season.

Battered by Arsenal in their opening home game, Everton then suffered defeat at the hands of top-flight new boys Burnley.

They did, however, secure their first league win last time out when hosting Wigan at Goodison Park and will be boosted by that return to form.
